Our 2026–27 Tuition and Fee Schedule allows us to continue investing in hands-on learning opportunities, small group instruction, enriching field experiences, and the unique programs that make The Learning Coop special. We are committed to stewarding resources well so we can continue building a place where children are known, challenged, and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually.
K-12 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & SAVINGS PROGRAMS
ESAs are available to all K-12 students (regardless of income) who are residents of Iowa and attend an accredited non-public school. Applications must be completed by the Iowa deadline of June 30. The amount of an Iowa ESA for 2025/2026 is $7,988. The Iowa ESA amount for 2026/2027 will be announced in the spring of 2026.
The Students First Act makes state funding available to support the success of every K-12 student in Iowa. ESAs provide funds for eligible families from the State of Iowa.
All TLC Academy K-8 students are eligible, regardless of income, grade or transfer status. The amount allocated for the 25/26 school year is $7,988 per student. The amount for the 26/27 school year will be announced in the spring by the State of Iowa.
The ESA application opens each spring. Applications are due on June 30, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. Applications are valid for one year; families must apply annually to remain eligible for the program.
The Learning Coop Academy is now an accredited non-public Christian school. Families are now eligible to apply for ESA dollars through the Odyssey portal. Please use the link below to set up an account or use your existing account to log in.

A 529 Plan is an after-tax investment account that grows tax free if distributions are used for qualified educational expenses. The State of Iowa guidelines state that the maximum 529 distribution per K-12 student is $20,000 per calendar year and payment can only be applied towards tuition.

Families can claim a credit of up to $500 per child for tuition and textbook payments on their State of Iowa income tax return. Use your tuition statement as proof of payment. Please ask your financial advisor for more information on your specific tax situation and eligibility.
